Topik bacaan di kuliah Reading 3 kapan itu adalah the fountain of youth. Aku beri pertanyaan ke mahasiswa: "If the fountain of youth were found, would you want to stay young forever?Would you want to be immortal?"

Jawaban mereka bermacam-macam, bahkan banyak jawaban yg menunjukkan bahwa mereka orang yg wise, bijaksana. Tidak sekedar nulis hal yg muluk-muluk tanpa tau maknanya seperti kebanyakan orang yg ku kenal, mereka tau betul apa yg harus dilakukan utk menerapkan kata-kata bijak yg mereka tulis. Terbukti pas aku tanya, contohnya apa, tanpa ragu mereka langsung memberikan contoh nyata dalam hidup mereka.

I would like to say no, I don't want to stay young, because I think this world is not everything and it's just for a while. God has arranged all of life in human beings in this world. If we stayed young we could not feel what it was like to become old and we lost half of life that was given to us.

No, I don't want to be forever young. I want a natural way. Becoming old can make ourselves thankful to God that we once were young. The youth is not in our appearance. It should be in our spirit. Becoming old is to be wise. Thinking as the young is to be powerful.

No, I don't want to be young forever. I want to spend all of my life in normal way. I want to enjoy every single second in my precious time. Living in this world longer and longer means having more sins and others. I want to go to the heaven, and it is the heaven of Allah SWT.

Well, I prefer to say NO! If it is just for a while, it will be okay, but forever? I don't think so. The reason why I say no is because I love my family, my friends, my future husband, even my enemy maybe :P. And if I stayed young forever, and became an immortal one, I didn't want to live alone while all of my beloved people died, because I think we have to try everything, even becoming old and die...

No, because I want to live naturally: born, live, young, and become old, that's life cycle. And the recipe to stay young is always positive thinking and don't forget to smile, and nice with other people.

Aku kagum pada mereka krn kedewasaan & wisdom yg mereka tunjukkan. Sewaktu aku masih seumur mereka, mana bisa aku berpikir sejauh itu? Yg aku ketahui dulu cuman hidup utk hari ini. Ya memang aku punya cita-cita ini itu yg ingin ku raih (dan sekarang sudah bisa aku raih semua) tapi soal bagaimana menjalani hidup seingatku aku tidak punya gambaran sama sekali. Angkat topi buat mahasiswaku.
